Camden RSL Club is located one hour south west of Sydney in one of the fastest growing areas in NSW.

The RSL is a ‘friendly club’ leased from the Camden RSL Sub-Branch and has over 6,000 members, 15 staff, 50 gaming machines, Chinese Restaurant, TAB, Keno, one bowling green and numerous social clubs.

The Board of Directors seek a strong motivator of staff to take on a challenging role in leading, guiding and developing all customer service employees to ensure an efficient operation in conjunction with high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

This position would ideally suit a person with a sound background in Club Management who will continue the work of the retiring CEO and a candidate who is committed to working together with the team to improve all aspects of the club.

You will thrive in a busy, diverse environment and have an enthusiasm for the hospitality industry with a passion for exceptional customer service and community engagement.

Superior knowledge in Finance, Gaming, Human Resources, Food and Beverage, Regulatory Compliance, Facilities Management and Customer Service is a requirement for this position. Equally important will be a need to engage with the community as a core objective in the spirit of the Registered Club movement.

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Roles and responsibilities as Company Secretary pursuant to the Australian Corporations Act;
• Roles and responsibilities of Club Secretary pursuant to the NSW Registered Clubs Act;
• Roles and responsibilities of Licensee pursuant to the NSW Liquor Act;
• Management of compliance with club’s constitution;
• Strategic Planning;
• Ensuring the club meets financial budgets and driving efficiencies;
• Preparing and executing business plans;
• Responsible for the General Management  of the club;
• Community engagement;
• Assist in driving the club’s Marketing Plan;
• Management of club facilities;
• Develop and initiate ideas to improve business performance;
• Ensure compliance with the Clubs statutory requirements;
• To monitor and performance manage staff ensuring service excellence is maintained.

Candidate Prerequisites:

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in similar role;
• Sound financial knowledge;
• Astute business acumen;
• Sound knowledge of hospitality operations;
• Project management experience;
• Previous experience managing middle management teams;
• Previous experience in managing capital works programs;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to forecast and work within pre-determined operating budgets;
• Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gaming within NSW jurisdiction;
• National Police Check;
• Tertiary qualifications will be favourably considered;
• Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, including Industrial Relations laws and Work Health and Safety laws a distinct advantage; 
• Management experience in a Gaming, Hospitality or similar role essential.
